About
My name is Scott DeWoody, and currently the Director of Visualization in Houston for Gensler.
I graduated from The Art Institute of Houston in December of 2007. I have a passion for architectural visualization, which is why I perused a career at Gensler shortly before graduation. I am also currently into digital painting, concept art, character creation, photography, and cinematography.
My specialty is Lighting and Rendering inside of 3ds Max with V-Ray. I am also very skilled in using Photoshop, and have also picked up a side hobby of Photography.
I take extreme pride in my work, and I’m constantly looking to learn new ways to improve myself and inspire others. I also believe that art is meant to be shared and learned. So I love to teach, and explain, to others how I accomplish certain tasks in my day to day workflows. Everything from concepts, to theory, to actual practice. If you have any questions, feel free to email me. And if I don’t know the answer, I will definitely try to find one for you. I must say though, that my job keeps me extremely busy. But I do check my email on a daily basis, and will try to respond to you as soon as I can.
So I hope you enjoy my work, and please e-mail me if you want to talk!

Hi Scott, my name is Jessie Matlock. Our fathers worked together for HPD and I met your dad at my dad’s graduation party a few weeks ago. He told me about what you do which I was really interested in because I enjoy architecture. It was cool to hear you work for Gensler. I’m an active member at thehaif.com; are you familiar with it?
Recently I thought up an idea for a building for Houston and just thought I’d share it with you. I’m a beginner in Sketchup so I couldn’t figure out how to make it think walls needed to be created. Here is my explanation of it: http://www.houstonarchitecture.com/haif/topic/24113-the-buildings-that-could-change-houston-forever/
I looked through your website and you’re really talented; I like your work.
Keep up the great work, I subrscribed to your entries via Google Reader.

Jessie
